Cover of book on Fergus O’Farrell revealed

This summer we are publishing Overload: a Brother, a Wake, and a Secret by Lydia Little, which tells the story of events surrounding the death and funeral of her brother, the singer and songwriter Fergus O’Farrell (more information here).

The design of the book’s cover has now been completed and features “There is a Place Where Every Word and Deed Goes”, one of ten collaborative etchings executed by Fergus and Japanese artist Yoko Akino, which were part of an exhibition at the Blue Gallery in Schull in 2015.

Yoko recently returned to the Blue Gallery, where an exhibition of her work opened on June 17, and this provided Lydia the opportunity to present the cover to her.

Yoko Akino moved to Ireland in 1996 and lives on the Cooley Peninsula.  A member of Graphic Studio Dublin, she is widely recognised as one of Ireland’s leading printmakers.
